How is the bracket system installed?

Consultation and diagnostics

Treatment begins with a consultation with an orthodontist-gnathologist. A detailed examination, photo protocol, and modern diagnostics are performed: CT or double scan. The doctor analyzes the position of the teeth, bite, the function of the temporomandibular joint, the ratio of the jaws, the condition of the bone tissue, and the symmetry of the face. This allows the treatment to be calculated as accurately and safely as possible.

Analysis and treatment planning

Based on the data obtained, the doctor creates an individual orthodontic treatment plan: determines the duration, stages, possible corrections and the outcome forecast. The plan is discussed in detail with the patient.

Selection of a bracket system

Taking into account the medical indications and wishes of the patient, the optimal bracket system is selected (metal, ceramic, aesthetic, etc.). We work with proven, high-quality American systems.

Preparation for fixation

Before installation, professional hygiene is performed, and if necessary, therapeutic treatment. This is an important stage for high-quality and safe fixation of the braces.

Fixation of the bracket system

Direct installation of braces takes an average of up to 2 hours. The braces are fixed on the teeth according to a special protocol, an orthodontic arch is installed. The procedure is comfortable and painless.

There are metal (classic, the strongest), ceramic and sapphire (aesthetic, almost invisible), as well as self-ligating braces, which often provide more comfortable treatment and less pressure on the periodontium. Your doctor will help you choose the best option for you.
    The duration of treatment is always individual. On average, it is from 12 months to 2–2.5 years. The term depends on the complexity of the bite, age, bone condition and discipline of the patient. During the treatment, the plan can be adjusted to achieve the best result.
    In the first few days after the installation or correction, you may experience mild discomfort or pressure - this is a normal reaction. Usually, the discomfort passes quickly and does not interfere with everyday life.
    The adaptation period is short. Within 1-2 weeks, most patients are completely accustomed to braces, and speaking and chewing become normal.
    No, provided that proper hygiene is maintained. On the contrary, after orthodontic treatment, teeth are easier to clean and the bite becomes functionally correct. We teach patients proper care during treatment.
