Extraction is necessary in cases where:
- the tooth is severely damaged and cannot be restored
- there is chronic inflammation or infection
- the tooth causes pain or interferes with chewing
- the tooth is a source of infection before implantation or prosthetics
The procedure is suitable for adults, adolescents, and children who require tooth extraction. Before the procedure, the doctor will conduct an examination and determine the optimal treatment plan.
When extracting a tooth, we remove not only the tooth itself but also the inflamed tissue around it, which could be the source of pain, infection, and swelling. This reduces the risk of complications after the procedure.
The doctor carefully shapes the socket after the extraction to remove sharp bone edges and create the right conditions for healing. This is important for patient comfort and rapid healing.
If necessary, the position of the gums is adjusted so that the socket heals correctly and evenly, without excessive tension or trauma to the mucous membrane.
If implantation or prosthetics is planned, removal is performed taking into account the future stage – preserving the bone and anatomy for the best and most stable result.
The doctor performs an examination, assessing the condition of the tooth and surrounding tissue. If necessary, a CT scan or X-ray is performed to visualize the tooth root and bone condition and rule out any potential risks. At this stage, the extraction strategy is determined and recommendations are given to the patient.
On the day of the procedure, local anesthesia is administered, ensuring a painless extraction. The dentist carefully removes the tooth, minimizing tissue trauma, then cleans the socket of any inflamed tissue and prepares it for proper healing.
If necessary, a socket is created, the gums are adjusted, and clear postoperative instructions are provided. The procedure takes an average of 10–20 minutes.
Initial healing takes several days, with mild swelling or discomfort possible for the first 1-3 days. Complete tissue regeneration occurs within a few weeks, depending on individual characteristics and adherence to the doctor's recommendations.

We are here to help
A dental procedure performed only for clear indications when saving a tooth is impossible or could compromise the patient’s health. At Cheese Dental, we approach tooth extractions thoughtfully, without rushing or making unnecessary decisions, focusing on safety, comfort, and the long-term outcome.
All extractions are performed by experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons who handle both simple and complex clinical cases. We extract teeth in cases of significant decay, chronic inflammation, pain, and in situations where the tooth is a source of infection or interferes with further treatment.
We pay special attention to complex interdental and maxillofacial cases, where accurate diagnosis and proper surgical tactics are essential. Before the procedure, the doctor conducts an examination and, if necessary, a CT scan to accurately plan the procedure and minimize tissue trauma.
Depending on the indication, our clinic may offer immediate tooth extraction followed by implant placement. This approach allows for shorter treatment times, preservation of bone tissue, and the transition to tooth restoration.
The extraction procedure is performed under effective anesthesia, and in complex or extensive cases, it can be performed while the patient is asleep to ensure maximum patient comfort. We strive to perform all necessary surgical procedures in a minimum number of visits.
After the extraction, the patient receives clear recommendations and follow-up care from the doctor. Thanks to a gentle approach and modern protocols, healing is usually quick and predictable, without lengthy recovery.
At Cheese Dental, tooth extraction is not just a procedure, but part of a comprehensive treatment program aimed at ensuring the patient’s health, comfort, and long-term results.
