When clear mobile or subtle:
- Bacteria easily penetrate
- Mucositis develops
- Bone destruction
- Implant loss
Mobile gums = risk. Firm gums = protection and longevity.
When needed:
• Moving hair near the eye
• Inflammatory processes
• Weak protective barrier
Method: Palate graft
✔ Best donor material
✔ Dense, keratinized tissue
✔ Stable, long-term results
When needed:
• Thin phenotype
• Tissue loss after extraction
• Aesthetic defects in the smile zone
Method: tuberosity graft
✔ Natural tissue reserve
✔ Less pain
✔ Stable volume and good shape
- if the gums are constantly inflamed or bleeding
- if there is excessive tension in the soft tissues (frenulum, muscle attachments)

We are here to help
Plastic surgery of the oral mucosa.
Mucografting is a surgical procedure aimed at restoring, strengthening, and stabilizing soft tissues in the oral cavity. It is performed for both therapeutic and preventative purposes and is not limited to implant placement.
What is Mucografting
During the procedure, the doctor manipulates soft tissues: the gingiva, mucosa, and muscular attachments. The main goal is to create the correct tissue volume and stability, eliminating excessive tension or deficiency.
The patient’s own tissue is most often used, although modern collagen materials are sometimes used depending on the indication.
When is it needed?
Mucosoplasty: Oral mucografting is a surgical procedure aimed at restoring and stabilizing soft tissues. The procedure eliminates excess tension in the mucosa, increases tissue volume and density, and creates the right conditions for healthy gums. It is used not only for implant placement but also in cases of recession, inflammation, discomfort during oral hygiene, or to maintain the results of orthodontic and orthopedic treatment. During plastic surgery, the patient’s own tissue is predominantly used, ensuring natural healing and predictable results. As a result, the mucosa becomes more stable and less sensitive to stress, improving comfort, hygiene, and the aesthetics of the smile.
