FREE CONSULTATION with a dentist, therapist or surgeon this month only for primary patients
-Sedation with nitrous oxide ("laughing gas"),
-Sleep therapy (general).
The first visit is an introduction to the doctor and the clinic.
We:
-assess whether the child is contact or non-contact;
-determine the extent of dental damage;
-discuss possible treatment options with the parents;
-select the optimal format of pain relief:
-sedation with nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") or
-treatment in a dream (medication sleep).
We explain the difference between the methods and make a decision together with the parents.
Nitrous oxide sedation is suitable if the child:
-is anxious but can contact the doctor;
-is afraid but willing to cooperate;
-requires simple or moderate treatment.
Sleep treatment is recommended if:
-the patient is young
-the child is very afraid, cries or panics;
-has a pronounced gag reflex;
-many teeth need to be treated in one visit;
-the child has special needs.
If sleep treatment is chosen:
-you consult with a pediatric anesthesiologist;
-the child is prescribed the necessary tests;
-after checking them, the anesthesiologist agrees on the date and time of treatment.
Under nitrous oxide ("laughing gas"):
The child breathes through a mask, remains conscious, but relaxes. Fear and tension disappear, the treatment proceeds calmly.
In a dream (drug sleep):
The child falls asleep and does not feel pain. The anesthesiologist constantly monitors all vital signs. The entire required amount of treatment is performed in one visit.
The child wakes up easily, feels good, has no negative memories of the treatment and receives a pleasant bonus 🍦
Parents are calm, and the child goes home with healthy teeth and a positive experience.
The dentist works in the respiratory tract area, so the main goal of the clinic during sleep treatment is to ensure the patient's breathing safety. To do this, the clinic must be equipped in accordance with the equipment list of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

We are here to help
For many parents, a child’s trip to the dentist is associated with tears, stress and fear. But modern pediatric dentistry has long since moved away from coercion and pain. Today, we have the opportunity to treat teeth gently, calmly and without psychological trauma — thanks to sedation and medical sleep.
At the Cheese Dental clinic, we select a method of pain relief individually — taking into account the child’s age, character, volume of treatment and emotional state.
When is nitrous oxide sedation enough
Sedation with nitrous oxide, or so-called “laughing gas,” is suitable for children who are anxious but can still communicate with the doctor. The child breathes a mixture of oxygen and gas through a small mask, remains conscious, but relaxes, stops being afraid, and accepts the treatment more easily.
After the procedure, the effect quickly passes, and the child can immediately return to the usual rhythm of life.
When sleep treatment is recommended
Sometimes even the best adaptation does not work. If the child is very afraid, cries, does not allow his teeth to be examined, or many affected teeth need to be treated at once, sleep treatment is the optimal solution.
Medicated sleep allows you to:
conduct the entire treatment in one visit;
avoid negative memories;
preserve the child’s psychological comfort and the parents’ peace of mind.
During sleep, the child is constantly monitored by a pediatric anesthesiologist, monitoring breathing, heartbeat, blood pressure, and saturation. After waking up, the child feels well and often does not even believe that the treatment is over.
Safety is our top priority
We never make decisions about sedation or anesthesia in a hurry. Before the procedure:
a consultation and examination are conducted;
the optimal method of anesthesia is determined;
if necessary, tests are prescribed;
the decision is agreed with the anesthesiologist.
The clinic has all the necessary equipment for safe treatment and emergency care – in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Why it is important in childhood
The first dental experience forms a lifelong attitude towards doctors. When a child does not feel pain, fear and coercion, he grows up without phobias and easily comes for preventive examinations in the future.
That is why we at Cheese Dental choose not to “endure”, but to explain, calm or gently treat in a dream, if it is really necessary.
Healthy teeth, a calm child and confident parents – this is the result of the right approach 💛
